Lone Star Texas Grill Launches Signature Mar-go-rita Kits Delivered to Your Door for Week-Long Cinco De Mayo Celebration May 4-10!
Toronto ON: Ever want to make a restaurant-style margarita at home? Introducing Lone Star Texas Grill’s new Marg-GO-Ritas! Their most popular signature margaritas have been made into a full build your own Mar-GO-Rita kit for everyone (of legal drinking age) to enjoy at home. These are paired with week-long Cinco de Mayo specials featuring their award-winning fajitas and house-made chips & salsa.
With the COVID-19 pandemic shutting restaurants down to contactless pickup and delivery only, Lone Star's team has been innovating on new ways to bring the restaurant experience to their guests. Based on new AGCO laws, they can now sell alcohol for both take-out and delivery, which sparked the idea to sell their most popular cocktail, Lone Star’s signature Margarita.
The Mar-GO-Rita comes complete with one litre of Lone Star’s all-natural Margarita Mix, 200ml of Hornitos Tequila, smoked sea salt and all the garnishes required to make margaritas at home. Each kit makes a total of 6 legendary Lone Star Margaritas. The Marg kits can be purchased with or without the Tequila. Marg-GO-Ritas with Tequila cost $28, and Virgin Marg-GO-Ritas cost $12.
Lone Star Classic Margarita Mix is all-natural and made with no artificial colours or flavours. The mix is created with cold-pressed lime and a hint of lemon and orange juice. The rimming salt is house-smoked overnight on a mesquite grill to enhance the flavour of the salt rim. The kit is rounded out with fresh orange and lime wedges for the guest to flavour the Margarita to their liking. Limes can make the Margarita more bitter, and oranges make it sweeter.
"We have seen massive success with the Marg-GO-Rita kits. We are selling close to 700 kits per week, and it is 3% of sales (which is a mind-blowing number for us). We also see a ton of user-generated content across social media related to the Marg kits. From what our alcohol suppliers are telling us, our little cocktail sets are very unique across the world, and they have been showcasing the package with their global teams. Lone Star is running a week-long "Cinco Special" from May 4-10, where guests can get Fajitas for 2 with all the fajita fixings, chips and salsa, and their new Marg-GO-Rita Kit (6 Tequila Margs) for $70. And while supplies last, each Cinco Special comes with two free tequila glasses! Cinco Specials are available for groups of 2, 4, 6 & 10.
