The old money manicure, a quiet, sophisticated nail trend that is sure to make you feel like Sophia Richie walking through Martha's Vineyard💅🏽💰

“Old Money Manicures” are trending on social media. Bio Sculpture Canada Ambassador and Canadian Nail Artist of the Year 2023, Cathy Torres takes us through the steps and products that you need to get the “rich girl” manicure.  “This look is not just about a neutral or classic polish (red, burgundy) taken to the next level with a mega glossy finish, a glazed look or something in between. It's also about the clean, flawless cuticles using luxurious, organic balms, exfoliants and cuticle oil designed for every client's needs to achieve the finished, expensively maintained nail trend look as we head into 2024.”

Cathy Torres explains how to get the “Old Money” Manicure look”:

My old money manicure begins with using my Navy Professional award winning tools, the cult brand favoured by celebrity nail artists and Beauty Editors in the UK and now available in Canada exclusively from Bio Sculpture Canada.  Navy Professional tools are trending worldwide for both their aesthetics and their unmatched quality!

My first steps in achieving flawless cuticle work are...

  1. Using "Doris" a double ended perfectly contoured edge that sits flush against the nail plate I gently push back the cuticles.

  2. "Ethel" is used next for the removal of dead cuticles from the nail plate.  All Navy Professional tools are very sharp, and no pressure is needed as they glide on the nail plate, making my job as a manicurist effortless.

  3. My preference for cuticle nippers are the 4mm bladed "Katey".  She is a staple tool for me.  She has the perfect precision for intricate dead cuticle removal.

To finish the luxurious old money manicure look, Ethos, the Natural Nail Care range by BIO SCULPTURE, pledged to Nail HEALTH,  is a perfect pairing with Navy Professional tools.  I carefully select the Ethos products best suited for my client’s individual needs. Ethos has a range of 8 products. The unique property of the key natural ingredient is discretely displayed on each bottle, making it very easy for me to reach the correct treatment for my client. A few of my favourite Ethos products to use and always have on hand for professional and retail use are Ethos Kiwi Scrub, Vitamine Dose and Almond Oil.

With these products in hand, every client will feel like Sophia Richie wearing the Old Money Manicure look when they leave your salon!
